Xbox One June Software Update Beta Preview Coming “In a Few Days;” Preparing fo Kinect-less Xbox One?

on May 24, 2014 2:56 AM

We’re still in May, but Microsoft seems to be already preparing for the June Xbox One software update, as you can see from the picture below.

The “1406” number of the update stands for “2014 June,” and while we don’t yet know precisely what will be included, most probably there will be changes to prepare for the release of the Kinect-less console and the already announced support for external storage.

It would definitely make sense for the new update to come earlier than usual, as the Kinect-less Xbox One is launching on June 9th, and we already know it will require a few tweaks to facilitate usability without the camera.

We’ll keep you updated here on DualShockers as soon as we hear more about the content of the update.
