Yesterday Microsoft announced that Forza Motorsport 6 is coming, and in a joint press release with Ford, Xbox Division Head Phil Spencer expressed his satisfaction for the partnership, which will involve the debut of the new Ford GT "first in Forza," alongside the Shelby GT350 Mustang, and the F-150 Raptor:

It is an honor to share this historic moment with Ford and celebrate the legacy of the GT by making it the featured cover car of ‘Forza Motorsport 6.’ We’re thrilled to have the unique opportunity to announce ‘Forza Motorsport 6’ the day the car debuts – on one of the biggest stages in the automotive industry – and we can’t wait to share more details on the game later this year.

In the same press release Ford Group Global Product Development  Vice President Raj Nair responded in kind with his own statement:

Working with Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios allows us to share our all-new GT supercar with an unprecedented global audience – giving fans an opportunity to virtually experience the beauty, thrill and innovation of Ford’s performance lineup.

I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see some gameplay. Forza Motorsport 5 was a launch title, but at least two years will have passed by when Forza 6 will release. Just how far will Turn 10 manage to carry the franchise on its second current generation installement? We'll probably know at E3.
