Yakuza 1 & 2 HD Edition for Wii U Gets a Lot of Screenshots and a Trailer

I’m sad, because I’m almost positive that we’ll never get to play this in the west. It was purposely excluded from the western versions of the latest Nintendo Direct and included in the Japanese one, and Sega West doesn’t seem too keen on localizing Yakuza games anymore, much to my anger and dismay.

Yet Sega Japan just opened the official website of Yakuza 1 & 2 HD Edition for Wii U, nicely lined up with a bunch of screenshots and a new trailer showing the Wii U exclusive features like the ability to play the game entirely on the GamePad, or to use the touchscreen to visualize the map, the lockers, or the dialogue with the ladies at the hostess club.

While I drink some chamomile to calm myself down, you can check out the trailer and screenshots below. I really wish they’d focus on localizing the gems they already have (like this, Yakuza 5 and Valkyria Chronicles 3 for instance) instead of working on more Sonic & Mario Go to the Bar Together garbage. Yes. I said garbage… If I may be excused, I really need that cup of chamomile right now.
