Yet More Final Fantasy XIII-2 Screens Show Monsters, Snow and Battles

on October 16, 2011 6:00 PM

The other day we dropped a few screens of Final Fantasy XIII-2 that were released in English, but there are a whole lot more Japanese screens, which we have for you today. They have a pretty heavy focus on Snow and battle screens, but also some of the monsters you’ll see (and be able to recruit?) in the game.

There are also a couple shots of the menu system setting up paradigms and managing your monster buddies. It’s kind of like Pokemon, right? Gotta catch them all? I can see any number of players obsessing over picking up each and every monster available, myself included. This sequel is shaping up to be everything people apparently wanted from the first game and didn’t get, so let’s all hope that those who were disappointed with FFXIII will come back to check this one out.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 hits store shelves on January 31, 2012 in North America.
