If you didn't notice its Wednesday, and consequently this means Media Create's sales charts are upon us. According to Media Create, last week of the Japanese market on the software front was dominated by Yo-kai Watch 3: Sukiyaki, while the 3DS overthrew the PS4 to claim the top spot in regards to hardware.

As always, it’s important to remember Media Create does not count digital sales for any games, which means these numbers are not necessarily a great representation of how a game did in Japan, but it does provide a good idea.

Personally, I''m surprised again to see The Last Guardian not doing as well as I anticipated, and even further surprised to see Watch Dogs_2 besting it. Other than that, there is nothing too surprising about this weeks sales: I'm glad to see my boy Mario Kart 7 back on the list.

As for the 3DS besting the PS4, I imagine a lot of that had to do with the launch of Yo-kai Watch 3: Sukiyaki, which was always going to push units.
