Yoshi’s Woolly World PAX Trailer Focuses on Patterned Yoshis

on August 29, 2015 1:02 PM

Over at PAX Prime in Seattle, Washington, Nintendo has shared another Yoshi’s Woolly World trailer. While the large Yoshi Amiibo is noticeably absent, we do get a glimpse at the Dr. Mario and Duck Hunt patterns. Spread throughout each level in the game will be tons of collectibles including a set of yarn buns that unlock new patterned Yoshis. The gems you will be collecting can also be used to purchase abilities that allow Yoshi to get the upper hand on enemies.

At times areas will allow Yoshi to transform, such as into a giant sized Yoshi, or into a digger version of himself. The Yarn Yoshi Amiibo will unlock a puppet partner who will mimic the player. Yoshi’s Woolly World released earlier this year for Japan and Europe but North America has to wait until October 16, 2015 to get their hands on it.
