Looks like retailers in the UK are doing whatever they can to sell as many units as possible of the new Titanfall Xbox One bundle. After the large discounts offered by the local branch of GameStop, Game is countering with a new trade-in offer:

Basically you have to bring in one of the latest models of the Xbox 360 or PS3 and five games, and you’ll be able to grab the new bundle for £279.99, as indicated by the rules quoted below.

Get an Xbox One Titanfall Fixed Pack for only £279.99 When You Trade-In Terms and Conditions: Offer valid 14/03/14 – 27/03/14. In store only. Limited offer while stocks last. You will get an Xbox One Titanfall Fixed Pack for £279.99 when you Trade-in; an Xbox 360 250GB Slim + 5 games, a PS3 250GB Slim + 5 games or a PS3 320GB Slim + 5 games, and the Trade-in value is deducted from the selling price of an Xbox One Titanfall Fixed Pack. Trade-in offer only applies when the Trade-in and purchase occur in the same transaction. To Trade-in: all consoles and games must be in good working order and of satisfactory quality. Imported consoles/games are excluded from Trade-ins. Games must be in original packaging. Cash trade-in value may vary. Trade-in offers are open to members of the public only and GAME reserves the right to refuse any offer to anyone believed to be representing a trade buyer. The manager’s decision is final. Online offers may vary. Offer can be withdrawn at any time without prior notice. The offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers. This does not affect your statutory rights.

As usual, judging how convenient this kind of trade-in offer really is remains up to the customer. While the discount is definitely sizable as the bundle normally costs £400, the value of the products you have to hand over isn’t exactly negligible.

It may be good for you if you’re really itching to get rid of your old-generation consoles and games, otherwise you may be better off saving a little more and getting the new bundle full price.
