Earlier this year, one of gaming’s biggest myths was unearthed (literally) with the excavation and discovery of the infamous landfill containing over a thousand Atari 2600 cartridges, notably including the dreadful E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial video game – luckily, some of those cartridges can now be yours for a decent price on eBay.

A new eBay auction has begun featuring 99 items from the Atari 2600 landfill dig earlier this year, with the auction running until November 14th and including a variety of classic game cartridges that were uncovered from the dig.

Currently, the collection of items on sale includes Atari cartridges from DefenderCentipedeStar Raiders, AsteroidsMissile Command, and yes, several copies of E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial – each copy of the game starts at a $50 asking price, though several of the E.T. cartridges are now ranging in bids of several hundred dollars.
