As the end of the year draws near and "Best of 2015" lists start cropping up, YouTube released new information regarding the most-viewed gaming-related videos in a particularly busy year for new releases and big, highly-anticipated games. However, the results of YouTube's data might just surprise you.

YouTube has released new lists revealing the biggest, most-viewed gaming-related videos of 2015 alongside the most popular titles for the year. In particular, the most-viewed gaming-related videos of 2015 are below, with the top video being the Super Bowl commercial from earlier this year produced for Supercell's popular mobile title Clash of Clans and looking not only at the top views, but also measuring likes, shares, and other data.

The rest of the list comes down to a mix of trailers, Let's Play videos, and original comedy videos from massively popular YouTube channels, such as REACT and others, which you can view below:

  1. Clash of Clans: Revenge (Official Super Bowl TV Commercial)
  2. Real GTA
  3. Star Wars Battlefront Reveal Trailer
  4. Five Nights at Freddy's 3 Teaser Trailer
  5. WARNING: YOU WILL DIE | Five Nights at Freddy's 3 - Part 1

  8. Elders Play Grand Theft Auto V (Elders React: Gaming)
  9. Halo VS Call of Duty
  10. Final Fantasy VII - E3 2015 Trailer | PS4

In addition to the top videos of the year, YouTube also released a list indicating the most popular titles of 2015 that were viewed on YouTube, with the list measuring the number of views and watch times for videos related to each of these games.

Many of the usual suspects like Call of Duty: Black Ops III and the Five Nights at Freddy's series made the chart, though some more surprising titles also managed to make the list such as ARK: Survival Evolved and Until Dawn, with the list of most popular titles on YouTube below:

  1. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
  2. FIFA 16
  3. Five Nights at Freddy’s 3
  4. ARK: Survival Evolved
  5. Agar.io
  6. Five Nights at Freddy’s 4

  9. Batman: Arkham Knight
  10. Until Dawn

As gaming has increasingly become more entwined with the culture of YouTube (and with many of its most high-profile celebrities and names such as PewDiePie and Markiplier bringing in huge gaming audiences), initiatives from the company such as YouTube Gaming launched earlier this year and its upcoming YouTube Red service show that the interest of gaming and gaming-related content on YouTube is surely going to grow much larger in the coming years.
