The latest Ys title, presented in all its glory, is shaping up quite nicely. Today Famitsu revealed five screens as well as a group of character artwork of the main characters. As promised, these screens do see a visual improvement over what we saw last year when the game was announced. I suppose that's a good thing, considering this title is built for the Vita, and that little handheld has a nice bit of power under its hood.

It was also recently announced in Famitsu that touch-screen controls will be available for controlling your party and dealing out orders. Environmental details are also heightened in this iteration, with the introduction of day/night cycles and positional audio. No release date (even for Japan) has been announced yet, but this game is being produced for Falcom's 25th anniversary, which takes place this year.
