The combat in the first two Ys games will seem weird to you if you’re not already familiar with the series.
Fighting in Ys I and II was essentially based around chest bumping. Adol would ram into enemies and if you hit them at the right angle, coming from the right or left rather than head on, you’d hit. If the player runs directly into the enemy he’ll take damage. I’ve never played all the way through Ys I or II so with this new release of the two games together for PSPfrom XSEED, I’ll be able to see if it gets old. Seems like it might.
