If you're eager to try the PS4 version of Nihon Falcom's upcoming action JRPG Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, now you can, as a demo has just been released on the Japanese PlayStation Store.

The demo can be downloaded here, and will take 1.3 gigabytes of your bandwidth.

It includes a playable version of the Coral Forest level, and lets you have a taste the “Inferno” difficulty, which was added added specifically for the PS4 version. It also supports the 4K/60 FPS combination on PS4 Pro, which is rather rare. Standard PS4 runs the game at 1080p/60 FPS.

Of course, in order to download the demo, you need a Japanese PSN account, and if you don’t have one yet, you can check out our extensive guide on how to create and maintain one.

The game will launch in North America and Europe in the fall for PS4, PS Vita and PC via Steam, but there is no word on whether we’ll get a demo in English or not.
