Zivix Finds Another Use For Your Plastic Instruments With Jam Live Music Arcade

Who said rhythm games were dead? Whatever your thoughts on the relevance of plastic instruments, Zivix isn’t having it. The developer has announced an Xbox Live Arcade/ PlayStation Network game that will not only put your old plastic guitars to good use but will give you another level of control over your virtual music creations in Jam Music Live Arcade.

The game boasts the fact that you control the guitar and bass to play licensed music and create your own, which you can then customize any way you’d like. The tracklist includes music from the likes of Fall Out Boy, Atmosphere and Modest Mouse, among others, and seems like a pretty original take on a genre that’s struggling to define itself now that the initial shock of the Rock Band¬†and Guitar Hero franchises has worn off. Check out the trailer after the jump.
