John Daly’s ProStroke Golf (O-Games) is going to be released this fall and will be one of the first titles to utilize the new PlayStation Move. If there was ever a kink in the armor of the juggernaut that is Tiger Woods Golf, now is that perfect time to bring out a new golf game.

O-Games has announced that E3, gamers and journalists will have their first demonstration of what is sure to be one of the first sports titles that is being made to show off the capabilities of the new wireless, motion control system on the PlayStation 3, entitled PlayStation Move. Also, Mr. Grip it and Rip himself, John Daly will make an appearance at their booth on Tuesday, June 16 to show the control scheme of ProStroke (if John Daly is there, Hooter’s girls can’t be too far behind).

I know that Tiger Woods 11 is being released on Tues, and the game looks awesome, but this is the perfect time to come out with a competitive golf game – and O-Games has to be betting on the Tiger backlash that has been going on over the past few months. John Daly has always been a fan favorite on the PGA, so a golf game is perfect for his “everyman” golf fans. The success of this game will come down to one thing – the PlayStation Move. Let’s hope it can challenge the controls of the Wii wand, because competition of any kind is always good for the gaming industry.
