Bandai Namco Entertainment's sweeping World War One epic 11-11: Memories Retold has just landed on consoles and PC with an unusual and eye-catching art-style. The latest trailer which coincides with the game's launch depicts a deep and somber story.

Based on November 11, 1918, the final day of the first World War, 11-11: Memories Retold centers around the memories of two very different men's struggles throughout the conflict. These come in the form of a young Canadian photographer and a German man who has received word that his son is missing in action.

The distinctive art-style of 11-11: Memories Retold as seen in the trailer below has a unique aesthetic that resembles a living oil painting as we see beautiful shots of birds in mid-flight, harrowing depictions of soldiers burying their dead, and gripping images of men battling from within the trenches. The thought-provoking art-style is created by DigixArt Studios and Aardman Animations; the latter of which would be known their work on lighthearted movies such as Early Man and Shaun the Sheep.

11-11: Memories Retold is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, but there are no plans for a Nintendo Switch release. The game commemorates the hardships of those involved in Wolrd War One which sees the 100th anniversary of its final days this weekend. The soundtrack to 11-11: Memories Retold is also available to purchase now.
