That's right: a whopping thirteen whole minutes of gameplay has just been released for Malicious Rebirth, an upcoming JRPG with intriguing character designs. The video begins quaintly enough, with an overview of the story in Japanese and an introduction of a few characters, but around four minutes in, it really picks up the pace.

Shown after that point is a bountiful amount of active gameplay, focusing particularly on the game's combat system, which appears to be very action-oriented - don't expect to be able to sit still and button mash if you want to do well in this game. A few interesting moves are also displayed, including a glide ability and a bit about dodging.

Alvion has yet to announce an official release date for Malicious Rebirth, although the developer has stated that western players should expect it to be available sometime during the summer to early fall of 2013. Japan will get the game during Q4 of this year.
