On Saturday, Bandai Namco revealed that 2B from NieR: Automata would be making an appearance in their weapons-based fighting game, Soul Calibur VI. Today, the publisher released so many screenshots of the character in action. You can check them out for yourself down below.

2B is an android and the protagonist of NieR: Automata, she wields two swords as her primary weapons, although she also wields spears and combat bracers. Her pod support system helps her in battles by allowing her to glide, and attack enemies from a distance. It looks as though 2B's playstyle in Soul Calibur VI will be very reminiscent of how she plays in Automata if the screenshots down below are anything to go by. We also get a chance to see 2B's alternate costume color in-game for the first time.

Additionally, a map based on the starting city in NieR: Automata will be included with the new DLC. While there's no set release date for the character, Bandai Namco has reassured fans that it'll be coming soon. Hopefully, we won't have to wait too long.

I've seen murmurs around the Internet from fans all over the world hoping that 2B would be making an appearance in a fighting game sometime soon. I went as far as asking NieR: Automata Director Yoko Taro himself if he'd be interested in seeing his characters make appearances in a fighting game. He said:

"If any of my characters could be in another game, then I’d definitely like to see that."

So I guess dreams really do come true. Soul Calibur VI is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
