With another round of sports games set to debut this coming fall, NBA fans might just be “happy” to know that this year’s NBA 2K15 will include a particularly sweet soundtrack thanks to a certain mega-popular artist – Pharrell Williams.

Reports details that 2K Games has hired musician Pharrell Williams to coordinate and select the tracks for the NBA 2K15 soundtrack, which seems to promise a mix of songs as eclectic and fun as Williams’ music itself, with Williams stating in a press release:

“I tried to curate songs that were diverse but yet still proved to be motivational to gamers. It was important to me that the music complemented the on-court action of NBA basketball in NBA 2K15.”

In addition, 2K’s vice president of marketing, Alfie Brody, elaborated further on Williams’ involvement with NBA 2K15, with the full soundtrack set to be revealed later this summer:

“Pharrell’s passion and reputation as a visionary producer and expertise from working with the NBA will be evident in the largest and most eclectic NBA 2K soundtrack ever. We really listened to our fans’ feedback on how we could improve their experience from a music standpoint, and we’re confident Pharrell’s collaboration in NBA 2K15 will impress players as much as it’s impressed us.”

NBA 2K15 releases for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on October 7th, 2014.
