2K Games Details How to Upgrade Your Version of BioShock and BioShock 2 on Steam

on September 11, 2016 4:56 PM

For those who already own BioShock and BioShock 2 on Steam 2K Games previously stated you would receive free versions of the remasters and have now detailed just how that will work.

For those who own the games via Steam, the remastered version will automatically appear in your Steam library upon release on September 15 at 3 PM Pacific Time.

For those who purchased both physically you will have to do two separate things. First, for BioShock, you will have to send both your Steam profile information and a proof of purchase of that game to 2K Support.

For BioShock 2 you need to find the Games for Windows Live key and activate it via Steam’s “Activate a Product on Steam” option under the Games menu tab.

This process also applies to BioShock 2: Minerva’s Den which was also remastered as part of the collection.
