2K Games’ New Teaser Site “Advent” Is Getting Progressively “Hacked;” Reveal Possibly Imminent

on May 27, 2015 3:03 PM

A few days ago 2K Games opened a new teaser website for something possibly named “Advent,” which could be the new AAA game teased by Take-Two during their latest financial conference call.

Interestingly, the site is getting progressively “hacked,” with text replaced by ominous messages and pictures getting corrupted and stamped with more doom and gloom.

The message “hunger, pain, sickness, and war. We believe in a global community of happy and comfortable citizens,” is now followed by “The ADVENT is lying to you. They want to subdue and destroy us all.”

“Millions have started living the ADVENT way” gets replaced by “Millions have gone missing the ADVENT way.”

Animated GIFs (click on them to see them in action) progressively corrupt the pictures in the site, “exposing” the fact that the smiling testimonials have actually gone missing.

You’ll have to click on the following one to start the animation as well, but the hacking replaces “Let’s prosper together” with “The Advent is the enemy.”

Finally, one of what seem to be screenshots of sorts has also been replaced by a corrupt version:

This seems to indicate the possibility of an imminent reveal, probably when the site will be fully “hacked.”

One thing is for sure, the setting is quite intriguing. It seems that we’re in for a possibly disturbing experience, and we’ll keep you update on how it will progress. In the meanwhile, you can explore the Advent site for yourself, and see if you can find something we missed.
