There are an abundance of quests to complete within NBA 2K22's MyCareer mode, but there is one that seems to be giving a lot of players issues known as The Drama: Trade Rumors.

As you play through your MyCareer mode with your own MyPlayer, you will eventually be drafted and start your journey towards stardom on the court. This will have you completing various quests, such as potential ones like the Gym Rat quest.

Your MyPlayer MP might not be exactly happy at some points though, which leads to the quest known as The Drama: Trade Rumors.

What is The Drama Trade Rumors Quest Glitch In NBA 2K22?

During your MyCareer, you can come across the quest known as The Drama: Trade Rumors, which states you need to "Watch the epic rant from Kendrick Perkins about your trade demand."

As with most quests like this, you can just select this video and watch it from the menu. However, the problem here is that doing so does not seem to trigger as complete like it should.

As a result, some people are getting stuck advancing past this for different reasons. Some reports on Reddit stated that they just kept playing more games but couldn't get the quest to complete, while some said they couldn't even play another game in MyCareer until it was listed as completed as seen in the below tweet.

This is obviously not good, especially if you can't advance past this section whatsoever, but 2K Sports knows there is a problem thankfully.

2K Sports Responds To The Trade Rumors Glitch In NBA 2K22

As of this writing, 2K Sports has not put out one specific message addressing this problem or anything. Instead, multiple gamers that have been affected by it have contacted 2K Sports support and received some responses.

There were a few that said support told them to clear the cache or reinstall the game, with it possibly being a server issue if that doesn't work.

The majority of the responses though say "The development team has been notified of this issue and are currently working toward a solution. However, we do not have visibility on their progress here in customer support, and therefore don't have a timeline on when a fix will be implemented."

This is pretty typical when there is a problem, but at least 2K Sports and in turn Visual Concepts know there is a major issue and appears to be working on it. Considering this is game breaking for some people with not being able to advance in MyCareer, hopefully this is something that will be fixed sooner rather than later.
