on May 31, 2015 5:17 PM

Today Capcom announced the next title of the Monster Hunter series, titled Monster Hunter X (it’s read “Cross“).

The game will hit the shelves in Japan this winter, and it’s in development using the same engine as Monster Hunter 4G.

The series’ exclusivity for 3DS continues with this title, as the game will be released only on Nintendo’s portable.

The screenshots also showcase four new monsters that will come  with the new game, and the trailer gives a glimpse of the gameplay, which will probably prove very familiar to fans of the series.
