3DS Passes One Million Units Sold in the Land of the Rising Sun

Japanese hardware is going to sell pretty well in Japan, not only because its quality, handheld or innovative, but also because it’s Japanese. That’s my theory anyway. Or perhaps the fact the Xbox 360 doesn’t sell squat in Japan (which is primarily the fact that my theory is based on) is because they don’t see it as an innovative, handheld or quality piece of hardware and not because it’s American made. Yeah, that’s most likely.

Anywhom, Nintendo’s latest DS console, the well received Nintendo 3DS, has cleared the one million units sales milestone. That’s approximately 250,000 units sold for each month it’s been on the market, which sounds pretty good to me. Especially when you consider the unit hasn’t seen a holiday season yet….yikes. The global domination of the Nintendo 3DS has only just began.
