1. Becoming A Minion Of Many Angled Ones

He unintentionally became a minion of the Many Angled Ones after his true self was destroyed by these strange creatures. Not just Doctor Strange, but with their arrival, all the living beings become their servant. After losing himself to Many Angled Ones, he assists them multiple times in conquering other worlds, including the Cancerverse.

2. Doctor Strange As Werewolf

The innocent face of Doctor Strange can never look so terrifying as it looked in the Marvel Team-Up #80-81 issue. To save the life of her lover, Clea, he goes to the Voodoo Queen Marie Leveau, but her assistance comes at a price. He was transformed into a werewolf, and even in his human form, Doctor Strange's appearance would haunt both Spiderman and Clea. The new werewolf form gave immense powers to Doctor Strange, and he easily overpowered both of them. But he was finally set free from the curse after Satana sacrificed her life.

3. The Evil Doppleganger

One time, in the Doctor Strange Sorcerer Supreme #48, published in 1992, Stephen Strange met his own self, but from another Earth. Interestingly, both the characters had the same past, until the point when the doppelganger Doctor fell into darkness after killing Baron Mordo. Filled with darkness, counter Stephen had a lust for more and more power and wanted to conquer Earth. Despite being caught in Eternity's body, he somehow escaped and tried to disguise himself as the real Doctor Strange in Earth-616.

4. Becoming Dormammu's Servant

If you throw a light on the greatest enemies of Doctor Strange, Dormammu surely tops the list. But interesting, once he was a servant of Dormammu, and that too by his own will. Dormammu always knew about the strength of Doctor Strange and how he could become a great servant. Baron Mordo, on Dormammu's orders, restores Stephen's hand and teaches him the dark magic. Later, Stephen kills Mordo and starts to serve Dormammu directly. Thanks to The Ancient One, he makes him think about his decision once again, rescuing him from Dormammu's slavery.

5. Another Evil Doctor Strange Double

There have been plenty of incidents where Stephen met his darker self, and here's another one. After returning to Sanctum Sanctorum from a journey, he encounters his duplicate waiting for him. The two Stephen resembled so much that even the ghost dogs and bats could not identify the real one. The duplicate turned out to be one of the Doctor's disciples, Casey Kinmont. She didn't have any intentions to turn against Doctor Strange, and she was under the influence of Baron Mordo, after which Stephen released her from his control.
