If you love unique and innovative games then don't miss out on the Indie Houses Direct. This event started on August 31st and will run until September 7th on Steam. Here are the Indie House games that we are most excited about.

The Indie Houses are an international collective of games publishers made up of game industry veterans. This diverse collective is made up of Akupara Games, Fellow Traveller, Neon Doctrine, Raw Fury, Those Awesome Guys, Toge Productions, and Whitethorn Games. These are the publishers behind some of the most exciting indie titles in recent years. The games that they will be releasing soon have us eagerly checking our Steam wishlists.

What brings all of these publishers together is a desire to change the industry and make meaningful games. Many of the titles listed here present unique mechanics and memorable stories.

Sable

Raw Fury's Sable is the Zelda-like we've all been waiting for. This dreamy open-world game offers exhilarating exploration and a heartwarming story in a setting unlike any other you've seen before.

This stunning game releases on September 23rd. There is a free demo up on Steam for players to drool over until then.

Kraken Academy

Fellow Traveler's Kraken Academy is a technicolor fever dream that could rival the wackiest animes out there. This school is bursting with supernatural creatures and you're the new kid that has to put them in their place.

Make sure to put this one on your wishlist, it comes out next week on September 10th.

Wolfstride

If the words giant mech battles aren't enough for you then know that Wolfstride is an amazing black and white RPG with a style reminiscent of Cowboy Bebop.

This stylish game is being published by Raw Fury and currently has a demo available on Steam that should be able to hold you over until its eventual release.

Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly

If you haven't played the first Coffee Talk game from Toge productions stop reading this article and go have meet-cutes with strangers over steaming lattes already.

The latest installment in this franchise Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly will feature new drinks, fascinating conversations, and the same cozy atmosphere. It will release sometime in 2022.

The Forest Cathedral

If psychological thrillers are your cup of tea then Whitethorn Digital's The Forest Cathedral will take you to your limits on a remote island. This game is reminiscent of Johnathan Blow's The Witness with its panel puzzles and open 3D environment, but its story is all its own.

The game won't be released until 2022 but the demo is available now on Steam.
