Warzone is in for some big changes when Call of Duty: Vanguard releases this November, and some of those changes might not necessarily be for the better.

When Warzone launched alongside Modern Warfare back in 2019, it completely changed the Call of Duty formula, which many fans had grown tired of after 16 years.

Fast forward 2 years and fans are once again eager for a shakeup in the world of Call of Duty, mainly due to the fact we've been playing on the same Warzone map since it was released. Because we all know Verdansk '84 was most definitely not the new map fans had been asking for, nor could it even be classed as a 'new map'.

But with Sledgehammer Games set to take the helm on November 5th with Call of Duty: Vanguard, followed by the Warzone integration on November 23rd, some big changes are inbound for the popular Battle Royale.

In no particular order, here are 5 different ways that Call of Duty: Vanguard's integration could completely change Warzone in terms of gameplay, aesthetics, or other.

New Warzone Pacific Map

We'll start with the most obvious change that's going to occur in Warzone when Vanguard arrives, and that's the confirmation of a brand new WWII-themed pacific map.

Built from the ground-up, Warzone's new pacific map features brand new points of interest, lush landscapes, rocky crags, and plenty of other areas for players to discover on this expansive new island.

Call of Duty has promised that Warzone's pacific map will be a change of pace from the war-torn environment of Verdansk, meaning entirely new ways to play.

Players will certainly adapt to the map as time goes on, but a whole new Warzone map is sure to be by far the biggest change coming to the game this year.

10 Weapon Attachments

If you've played the Vanguard Open Beta, you probably realized that you can equip an astounding 10 attachments for your weapon. This doesn't involve any sort of special perk either, weapons can simply have 10 attachments equipped at the same time by default.

This might not seem like a big deal to many, but Warzone currently only allows players to have 5 attachments equipped at one time.

It hasn't been confirmed if this feature will be moving over to Warzone, but considering the lengths Call of Duty has gone to create a 'seamless' integration between Vanguard and Warzone, it's definitely possible.

Being able to equip a further 5 attachments on your weapons could completely change the meta and have a huge effect on how we play Warzone.

World War II Themed Weapons

With Call of Duty: Vanguard being set during World War II, this of course means that Warzone will follow suit with the integration and be taken into World War II with a brand new theme and weapons.

It's currently unclear if players will still be able to use their weapons and blueprints from Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War, or if the slate will be wiped clean and Vanguard's weapons be the only ones available.

Although a whole bunch of new weapons is sure to change Warzone enough as it is, how the heck are Raven supposed to balance weapons from 3 different titles?

Raven Software has done a fantastic job of ensuring weapons from both Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War are kept balanced and fair, but by throwing another set of weapons into the mix, Warzone could turn into complete carnage and ultimately ruin the weapon balance.

We'll have to wait and see what the plan is for Warzone and the large number of weapons that could be in the game this November, but it seems unlikely that all of those paid blueprints and leveled-up weapons would be taken away from us.

PC Anti-Cheat System

Christmas really is coming early this year, after months and months of begging, Warzone is finally set to receive a proper anti-cheat system with the Vanguard integration.

Raven Software repeatedly showcased how they would ban 50,000 cheaters every now and then, but it just wasn't enough. Warzone was being taken over by hackers and something needed to be done quickly.

To combat the issue, Warzone's new pacific map will be launching alongside a brand-new, multifaceted anti-cheat system for PC, and will hopefully change Warzone for the better.

The fact that fans are actively looking forward to an anti-cheat system in a game is worrying, this is something Call of Duty should have had fixed a long time ago.

Should the anti-cheat system work as intended, players won't be running into any hackers with aimbot, god mode, invisibility, or otherwise from November.

New Vehicles

As the new pacific map is expected to be considerably larger than Verdansk, that means we're going to need new ways to traverse across the map.

Although Call of Duty hasn't confirmed if new vehicles will be coming Warzone alongside the pacific map, DualShocker's very own Tom Henderson believes we'll be seeing boats, tanks, and even planes feature on the new map.

An exciting change that could change the way players rotate with the storm, plus may even lead to classic World War II dog fights as the planes may even feature weapons.
