Today Square Enix announced with a press release that in the first ten days in theaters, Final Fantasy XV‘s CGI movie Kingsglaive was watched by over 70,000 fans, and grossed over 100 million yen.

To be more precise, the number of spectators was 70,133, while the movie grossed 105, 611,860 yen, which equates to $994,584. While this isn’t certainly comparable to what big Hollywood flicks make in the US, it’s certainly an achievement considering that it was only available at 44 theaters nationwide.

According to the press release, feedback was very positive, topping the PIA first day satisfaction ranking, and gathering enthusiastic comments from viewers.

Below you can see three cards that will be distributed to those who will go watch the movie starting on July 23rd.
