73% of Activision Blizzard's Revenue Comes From Digital Content

Activision Blizzard has seen a massive surge in revenue from downloadable content, the company announced today during its financial results.

Activision estimates that downloadable games and content contributed as much as 73% to their earnings on a non-GAAP basis over the last quarter.

Much of this surge has been attributed to titles such as World of Warcraft, Hearthstone and Diablo III, although the company also noted that digital sales for Call of Duty are on the rise.
