Following on from the recent console release of 8-Bit Armies Petroglyph Games and SOEDESCO are bringing the sister RTS title 8-bit Hordes to Xbox One and PlayStation early next year giving the series a classic fantasy twist.

8-Bit Hordes is a top-down RTS featuring a retro-inspired art-style which deliberately makes its sprites look like they would fit right at home in a PS1. The game is broken down into two opposing sides which will go head-to-head on the battlefield. The Deathsworn is a deadly faction comprised of battle-hardened orcs and swarms of undead creatures while the opposing force comes in the form of the LightBringers; an honorable army of elves, dwarves, and humans.

With the console release originally announced back in August, 8-Bit Hordes will feature cross-title play with other entries in the series 8-Bit Armies and the upcoming 8-Bit Invaders. On top of this, there will also be a single player campaign mode, co-operative play, as well as AI skirmishes.

8-Bit Hordes is set for release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on February 1, 2018. The game is currently available on PC.
