Just ahead of its launch on home consoles, the latest trailer for 8-Bit Armies takes an in-depth look at different character classes and the advantages that they'll have on the battlefield.

When diving into a new RTS title, knowledge regarding the pros and cons for each unit can be absolutely essential. Luckily, publisher SOEDESCO has released a trailer that should take the burn out of 8-Bit Armies' learning curve.

The trailer focuses on six different in-game units covering infantry, land and air vehicles, and even heavy artillery. Throughout the video we learn that a few choice pieces of trivia, including the fact that snipers bode well against incoming aircrafts, while those armed with rocket launchers  have an advantage over land-based vehicles. Heavy tanks come in handy for assaulting most other units, while long-ranged nuclear warheads are strong against anything unlucky enough to step within their blast radius.

Once the combat begins, the charming, chunky polygon art-style of 8-Bit Armies mixed with its bright array of colors makes for a beautiful display as swarms of helicopters take to the skies or waves of heavy tanks fill the roads. When engaging in a firefight, it becomes an eye-catching explosion of color.

8-Bit Armies will be launching on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One tomorrow, September 21; the title is available now on PC. There are also limited edition collector's editions in the works.
