PAX West 2017's schedule shows that Nintendo will be holding a "special" panel on Saturday, September 2, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The panel will be held in the convention hall's Hydra Theater.

Nintendo is no stranger to PAX but what this panel could be about is really open to quite a few things. We could potentially get new details on Metroid: Samus ReturnsSuper Mario Odysseyor even The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's next upcoming DLC pack. Maybe we'll even see a release date for Fire Emblem Warriors or Xenoblade Chronicls 2, both still slated for this year.

The company has never been one to reveal new games at PAX, so it's probably safe to assume that the panel will revolve around something we already know exists.

The organizers of PAX revealed the full schedule for the convention earlier this week. Destiny, The Witcher, Final Fantasy XIV, Far Cry 5, and more, are all set to make appearances at the show.

In other recent Nintendo news, the company is facing a lawsuit from mobile gaming accessory maker Gamevice, claiming that the Switch's Joy-Con controllers infringe on at least one patent the company owns.

PAX West will be held at the Washington State Convention Center from September 1, 2017, up until September 4.
