A Fun Pokemon Contest Has Been Announced, Watch This “Gotta Catch ‘Em All” Remix to Nab a Secret Code

A new Pokemon contest is underway, but in order to enter, you must watch a “Gotta Catch ‘Em All” remix video, which contains a secret code that must be entered into the official contest site. As most North American Pokemon fans probably know, the “Gotta Catch ‘Em All” theme was a cute rap song that was made to give the young viewers a catchy way to remember (at the time) all 151 Pokemon.

The contest requires you to watch the remixed version of that same song, in order to pull out the secret code, which must be entered in order to even enroll in the contest. To be merciful, the code in that video is “XY1012,” which is obviously the global release date of Pokemon X and Y versions. Once you input that and some contact info, you’ll be able to enter different codes that will net you different digital prizes, such as wallpapers and ringtones.

Use the hashtag #gottacatchXY in order to track all the codes down. Each code will also get you an entry into their sweepstakes and you can prizes such as a 3DS XL, a copy of Pokemon X and Y, plushies, a strategy guide and more.

If you’d like to see the video yourself, you can watch it below. I have to admit, it’s pretty catchy.
