It has been a long time coming, but A Hat in Time is finally slated to land on the Nintendo Switch this fall.

As announced today by developer Gears for Breakfast, A Hat in Time will be landing on Switch in just a few short months on October 18, 2019. This will have finally brought the game to all current platforms alongside PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

It's a pretty apt game to finally land on Switch, too. A Hat in Time is meant to be a modern iteration of many of the classic platformers from yesteryear that you may have played on the Nintendo 64 or Nintendo GameCube. It's arrival here on Switch, while delayed compared to other platforms, will surely feel like a natural fit.

In addition to coming to Switch now, A Hat in Time will also be released physically on the platform as well. The physical version of the game will retail for $39.99 and is available on Amazon for pre-order right now.

Lastly, Switch players will also finally receive a co-op mode for A Hat in Time as well. This feature is one that still hasn't arrived on PS4 or Xbox One versions as of this writing.

I reviewed A Hat in Time here for us at DualShockers a few years back and while I wasn't as hot on it as some others, I stil acknowledge that it's a very fun platformer that's worth your time if you're a fan of the genre. Be sure to pick it up later this year if you're starved for a new platformer.
