A Mario Kart Reminder

By François Chang

November 25, 2009

If you do not already know, Super Mario Kart has released earlier this week for Wii Virtual Console download. The title that started it all has finally rereleased. And no, I do not include Mario Kart: Super Circuit for GBA, although it was a great game. I mean the original game in it’s original form, and now it’s finally available. If you have not played Super Mario Kart for SNES, here is your chance to finally play this gem of a game. The CPU may be cheesy, the graphics may be a little dated and the variety of courses may be slim, but it is truly a great game to go back to. At least download it out of respect for laying the foundation for Kart-racing games and the Mario Kart series. Those of you who are familiar with Super Mario Kart can finally take revenge out on your friends who think they are awesome at Mario Kart, because they beat you in a race on Mario Kart Wii. Show them how we used to do it oldskool. For only 800 Nintendo points, it is totally worth it.
