After Rocksteady's Suicide Squad, now it seems WB Montreal is going to be the other developer presenting at DC FanDome to unveil their latest project which might be a new Batman series, based on the reports.According to Jason Schreier, one of the trustworthy insiders of the video game industry, Suicide Squad was an ongoing project at WB Montreal at first, but the game has been canceled for an unknown reason in 2016. Soon after that, Rocksteady started its own take on Suicide Squad as the studio's next-gen project.

As Schreier reveals, the game will only receive a brief announcement teaser at DC FanDome 2020 as it's still a few years away from launch. So, don't expect a fully detailed reveal trailer from Rocksteady.

On the other hand, Schreier believes that WB Montreal will also reveal its new Batman series, which is rumored to be based on the Courts of Owl comic series.

It's not surprising to see WB Montreal is working on a new Batman game as they've already teased it with a Gotham-related emblem via Twitter. However, the studio has been tight-lipped for a long time since teasing the logo on Twitter back in 2019.

Aside from Rocksteady and WB Montreal, Nether Realm Studios could also be the other developer of Warner Bros. Interactive participating in the show as the studio head, Ed Boon, will attend the event on August 22nd. Based on the rumors, his presence will probably end up in the announcement of a new entry for the Injustice series.

DC FanDome is a 24-hour online showcase from Warner Bros. that will reveal the latest updates on all the DC-related projects of the company including movies, TV series, and of course, video games. The stream will go live on August 22nd at 10 AM PDT through the official website for DC Comics.
