During a stage event at Tokyo Game Show, Producer Yoshinori Ono announced a new character for the Street Fighter V cast.

Karin Kanzuki returns from Street Fighter Alpha 3, and she is the twelfth character announced of the initial roster of the game, that will include sixteen characters in total.
