GamesBeat editor and well-known industry insider Jeff Grubb revealed in a recent live stream on YouTube that Nintendo will indeed have a Direct showcase in September 2022, which might feature a few big announcements.

Earlier today, Jeff Grubb went online in the new episode of the Last of the Nintendogs video series, revealing that he is 100% sure there will be a Nintendo Direct in September 2022, which based on his information will feature some third-party games, but there might be a few big drops as well.

Grubb says he has heard that The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess as well as The Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker will receive an HD Remaster announcement in the upcoming Nintendo Direct, and he sounds pretty confident about this.

Moreover, Grubb says he has also heard about a Metroid Prime Remaster to be revealed in the upcoming event. The insider believes that this is at least a Nintendo Direct Mini regarding the presence of third-party titles as well, but he says there is a sting possibility of a brief showcase for the sequel to The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, which could reveal the game's official name.

Again, we suggest you take the information above with a grain of salt as nothing has officially been confirmed yet, but even if Nintendo does announce a Direct for next month, you should probably keep your expectations as low as a Mini showcase.

The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild sequel and Metroid Prime 4 are two giant first-party projects for Nintendo Switch that are still in active development. Metroid Prime 4 was handed over to another developer a few years back, which delayed its release indefinitely.

September 2022 already seems like a huge month for gamers as Ubisoft and Disney will also have their own gaming showcases next month. There is also a rumored showcase for PlayStation in September 2022, during which we might get an in-depth look at God of War Ragnarok and some other projects of the Japanese publisher for 2023.

We will update this post with new information if we hear anything official from Nintendo today.
