A Plague Tale: Innocence’s First Chapter Is Free Today on PS4, Xbox One, and PC

If you havent played A Plague Tale: Innocence yet, don't worry as Asobo studios are offering the first segment for free.

If you’ve been wanting to give A Plague Tale: Innocence a go but weren’t too sure whether you wanted to dish out the cash or not, now is the perfect time for you to get stuck into the first chapter. The developers at Asobo Studio are offering up a demo for free that allow players to experience a segment of the game which follows the journey of siblings Hugo and Amicia as they embark on their rat-infected adventure.

In June, the highly acclaimed title got a photo mode which was pleasantly received by players due to the outstanding scenic moments you get to experience throughout the game, but as a word of warning – make sure you have plenty of space as you’ll most certainly need it as you’ll want to snap everything you see.

If you arent too familiar with the story, allow me to give you a quick run-down: A Plague Tale: Innocence takes place a the rural French countryside in 1349 during the first phase of the Hundred Years’ War and The Black Death. You follow orphaned siblings Amicia and Hugo on a journey of adventure, action, and stealth as you try to escape the Inquisition soldiers while also trying to stay alive as the cover of night approaches and swarms of hungry, flesh-eating rats sniff out their next victim. Be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster!

DualShockers gave A Plague Tale: Innocence 8.5/10 saying that “Asobo Studio has done an impeccable job at implementing fear and tension.” and that “The art direction in A Plague Tale: Innocence is outstanding at portraying a real sense of terror.” You can read our full review here.
