Genshin Impact, ahead of the release of Ver 1.4 Invitation of Windblume, launched a new Web Event – A Wanmin Welcome, a cooking event centered around the Traveler, Xiangling and her restaurant. Here’s what you should know about the web event, alongside tips to clear it to get free Primogems.

Introduction to the A Wanmin Welcome web event

As usual with every Genshin Impact web event so far, A Wanmin Welcome is extremely simple, and is something akin to a clicker game. The first thing you need to make sure of, is to select the right server you play on. Don’t login on the wrong server, save data is not shared between Genshin servers. Secondly, this is an event with daily tries. So the first thing and most important element to keep in mind is to log into the Web Event at least once every day.

PC and mobile players can access the event here. PS4 and PS5 players will need to access the event via the in-game mail about it.

The story goes like this: Xiangling needs additional hands at her family’s restaurant, and asks the Traveler to help prepare the various dishes of the menu. Players can pick which menu and which dish to cook for, and each menu has different possible rewards. All menus include the same amount of Primogems in their rewards, but the number of Mora and Hero’s Wit obtained varies between each menu.

How to play and clear the A Wanmin Welcome web event

Again, it’s pretty simple and very well explained in game, so just read the tutorial carefully. In summary, you can select up to 9 set meals, each set consisting of 6 different dishes. You need to use cooking attempts to make one dish. You gain one cooking attempt each day, and you can get additional ones by completing simple daily tasks available in the web event, such as visiting the hoYoLAB forums. You can get a total of three cooking attempts each day.

Why Ratchet & Clank is the Most Important PS5 Game

One you finish cooking a dish, you will need to click the Tray button to serve the dishes. You’ll get the Primogems and rewards once you’ve cooked all six dishes of a set.

Note that you can only get rewards from a maximum of three sets, so chose which rewards you want carefully. Again, every set will net you the same amount of Primogems, so don’t worry about that. It’s the number of Mora, Hero’s Wit, and Mystic Enhancement Ore gained that varies between each sets. So pick the one with the rewards you’re lacking.

Lastly, the dishes cooked in the Web Event will be sent to players by mail in Genshin Impact in-game.

The web Event A Wanmin Welcome will end on March 25, at 11:59 AM ET/ 08:59 AM PT/ 15:59 GMT. Click here for other time zones.

Genshin Impact, developed by miHoYo, is available on PC, PS4, PS5 via backward compatibility, and Mobile. The game was also announced on Switch, but has no release date on the system yet.
