Greenberg: Xbox One #1 in “Many Markets Around the World” in November; Tops Software as Well; Surprises Teased

on December 12, 2014 12:22 AM

Tonight Microsoft announced that Xbox One topped November hardware sales in the US and the UK, but there’s more according to Marketing head honcho Aaron Greenberg.

Greenberg also mentioned that the console also topped next gen software sales:

Finally, he promised that Microsoft will be focusing on games next year too, planning “for another record year,” and also teasing surprises to come.

The aggressive holiday pricing seems to have really worked well for Microsoft. It’ll be interesting to see if it’ll push the competition to operate price cuts as well, even if the holiday season is coming close to its end.

December figures will also be relevant, since it’s the biggest months in Europe and many Asian countries.
