Sloclap and Devolver Digital's methodical online melee action game Absolver hits physical and digital store shelves in a week, so a 24 minute gameplay video showcasing the beginning of the game was released today to show players what they will be getting into if they decide to pick up Absolver.

The video begins with the player character in training; he then partakes in a ritual and puts on his mask, sending him to the land of Adal. From there, the player wanders around this starting area, being introduced to some of the game's more methodical and complicated fighting mechanics before finally taking on human opponents. The video should definitely give you a good feel for the Aboslver's mechanics if you really didn't understand them beforehand.

This also isn't the only Absolver video to drop recently. Sloclap and Devolver Digital also put out videos detailing the game's deep customization system, the different weapons and powers, and the multiplayer features. If you want to see how the gameplay has changed from earlier this year, you can also check out this longer video from PAX East 2017.

You can check out the 24 minute gameplay video, titled Arriving in Adal, below. Absolver is currently set to launch on PC and PS4 August 29.
