Japanese newspaper, The Nikkei, reports that Nintendo will be unveiling its own strategy concerning mobile gaming
The company will not be putting major titles, such as Mario and The Legend of Zelda, on mobile devices. Instead, as The Nikkei writes, Nintendo wants to use smartphones to expand its potential user base by spreading information about new game releases, i.e. by using video to introduce future titles. This would most likely be through some sort of Nintendo app, and all content would be entirely free with no cash shop or freemium games planned for the near future.
Nintendo will be making an official announcement in their latest investor’s meeting this coming Thursday.
