Capcom just sent a juicy press release that will make quite a few fans of the Ace Attorney series happy: Ace Attorney 5 (Gyakuten Saiban 5) will be released across North America and Europe this fall with the title Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies.

The game will be released digitally for the Nintendo 3DS. No mention of a physical retail release for the game has been made, for the moment.

Unfortunately we also discover that the new female lead Kokone Kizuki has been renamed for the western market like other characters of the series. Her new name will be Athena Cykes.

Athena has the unique ability to psychoanalyse witnesses. Using her “Mood Matrix” players  will be able to detect the emotional state of characters and compare their feelings with the statement they will give, pointing out any contradictions between the two and challenging their testimony.

The game’s first antagonist will be Gaspen Payne (originally named Fumitake Auchi), the underhanded brother of Winston “Rookie Killer” Payne, that already appeared in previous chapters of the series.

Below you can see the new  trailer and a gallery including a batch of screenshots of the localized version of the game, the new logo, the key art and a few pieces of character artwork.
