Today Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia showcased some rather awesome gameplay of the PlayStation VR version of Ace Combat 7 during a stage event from Taipei Game Show.

The video below, recorded from the PlayStation VR Social screen, shows the take-off from a carrier and air combat. Unfortunately the gameplay gets switched to the smaller window of the screen after a while, but this is still the best view we got so far on how the game looks on PlayStation VR.

Ace Combat 7 was reintroduced after a year of relative silence at PlayStation Experience with a fantastic trailer, and some really awesome screenshots.

The game won't be fully playable on PlayStation VR, as the campaign will focus on visuals, so it wouldn't be possible to make it run on the headset. Yet, it certainly looks very immersive, and this is probably one of the best uses of virtual reality.

If you want to know more about the game, that appears to be quite similar to the beloved Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War and Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies, you can check out our interview with Producer Kazutoki Kono and our hands-on preview.

Ace Combat 7 is scheduled to release this year, exclusively for PS4. Without further ado, you can watch the gameplay below.
