Today, publisher Bandai Namco and developer Project Aces released the official E3 2017 trailer for Ace Combat 7Skies Unknown.

The trailer -- which is two minutes and 11 seconds long -- essentially sets the stage for the game by providing a bit of backstory and context on what will be happening in the new installment and what players can expect.

As you may know, Ace Combat 7Skies Unknown is an air combat game and the first Ace Combat title developed for the 8th generation of consoles. In development for PS4, PS VR, PC, and Xbox One, the game will notably feature two-player local multiplayer and exclusive missions on the PS4 version.

Initially the game was only announced for PS4 (and PS VR) in December 2015 at PSX, but then in January 2017 Bandai Namco revealed the game was coming to the other aforementioned platforms.

The game marks the return of the series to the Strangereal universe after 10 years, following Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation on Xbox 360. It's being built in the Unreal Engine 4, and was recently delayed from 2017 to 2018.

Below, you can check out the new trailer and a screenshot featuring Princess Rosa of Erusea. Additionally, you can check out the game's latest batch of screenshots, which provide a sneak peak on what we can expect to see at E3 from it.
