Today Bandai Namco Entertainment finally announced the release date of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.

The game will launch on January 18th for PS4 and Xbox One, while PC gamers will have to wait a little longer to February 1st for the release via Steam.

On top of the release date, we also get a brand new trailer that focuses both on the beautiful-looking aircraft porn that the series has gotten us used to, and another look at the story and its main characters.

Once more, we get to see the protagonist “trigger” dealing with being a pilot in a penal squadron, and one who has committed a very heinous crime, as shown by the “three strikes” on his plane’s tail.

Interestingly, we also hear that the game will get two dedicated flight sticks from two different manufacturers. Thrustmaster will release the Flight Hotas 4 ACE COMBAT 7: SKIES UNKNOWN Edition, and Hori will launch the ACE COMBAT 7 Flight Stick HOTAS.

If you want to see more, you can also check out a previous batch of screenshots showing weather effects much more, and the most recent trailer focusing on the story.
