PS3 Exclusive Ace Combat Infinity Gets a Trailer, Info, Screenshots, Shows Attack on Stonehenge; Free to Play Confirmed
Today Namco Bandai published a second teaser trailer of Ace Combat Infinity, that will be released exclusively for PS3 later in 2013.
The trailer might at least partially please the fans of the older chapters of the series: while the game is still set in the real world, and not on the fictional planet of Strangereal, there are plenty classic elements in sight like laser-shooting prototypes, the Aigaion/Kottos Airships from Ace Combat 6 and Stonehenge from Ace Combat 4.
According to the official description that was just published, the game is confirmed to be free to play, and is “set in a precise near future world and including beloved elements like super weapons and hyper-real visuals.” It will also “offer a brand new story campaign as well as an original co-op multiplayer mode where skilled aces will form two teams and compete to inflict the most damage on a common enemy.”
You can the trailer out just below, together with a small batch of new screenshots and see if they tickle your fancy. At the very least the music is quite epic and reminiscent of the older installments of the saga.
