ADR1FT, a first-person exploration game set in outer space, published by 505 Games and developed by Three One Zero, has become an Oculus Rift launch title.
The game was supposed to launch later this month, but apparently, it got “hand-selected” by the Oculus team to become a “premier launch title.” There is no information on the release date of the consoles’ version after this delay.

President of 505 Games Ian Howe, expressed his enthusiasm for virtual reality, and that this will make ADR1FT a better experience overall.
“Virtual reality is the next phase of innovation in gaming. As a publisher, we’re always looking for the best platforms and technology to showcase our games and working with Oculus will allow gamers to experience ADR1FT in an enhanced way that only can be done through the immersion of virtual reality.”
Three One Zero Creative Director Adam Orth, was also really happy about getting featured as an Oculus Rift launch title, and that this will be “the best way to experience zero gravity.”
“We couldn’t be more pleased to work directly with the Oculus team to bring ADR1FT to the Oculus Rift. The excitement we’ve seen from our fans around ADR1FT VR and the groundbreaking technology of the Oculus Rift is a special combination; short of actually being in space, this is the best way to experience zero gravity.”
I think ADR1FT is one of the few upcoming games that actually fit the VR requirements perfectly. Now the game will release in early 2016 alongside the Oculus Rift, while the PS4 and Xbox One versions’ dates “will be announced in the future.”
