During PlayStation Experience 2017, DualShockers sat down with Area 35 CEO Hiroaki Yura to discuss their upcoming game, Tiny Metal.

Inspired by Advanced-Wars, Tiny Metal is tactical turn based RPG with players taking their skills onto the battlefield for some arcade warfare. During our conversation we asked Yura-san if the studio plans to support the game post launch with new DLC, he explained that the company will release the multiplayer feature within three to four months after the game's launch. This will be a mode where players must use their skills gained during the main campaign to flank, infiltrate, and destroy other player's forces online. Additionally, the Switch version of the game will support local multiplayer between multiple Switch owners.

Yura-san also admits that the team wants to release a mini-campaign six months after release for free. This will feature new story content and possibly new characters. The CEO also describes the team's plans to bring different game modes and unit types to the game in order to keep players returning to the title.

We had the opportunity to go hands on with Tiny Metal for an extended period of time and we also received a sneak peak at the upcoming multiplayer mode, so please stay tuned for our impressions.

Tiny Metal will release on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on December 21.
