Relic Entertainment and Xbox Game Studios first announced Age of Empires IV all the way back in 2017. That being said, we've barely heard about it since outside of the fact that Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition uses some online technology created for this new entry. Yesterday, Microsoft GM Aaron Greenberg teased that we would finally be seeing Age of Empires IV again at X019. Inside Xbox at X019 followed through on that teased and delivered a new trailer for Age of Empires IV.

It showcases a hefty amount of gameplay, which looks true to the series and is nice to see after such a long wait. They also confirmed that World's Edge is the name of Microsoft's Age of Empires studio, which was unnamed until this point. Relic Entertainment is still working on the game though.
